How It All Began
Wilder Family Empowerment Center was founded by Dr. David Wilder, whose personal story fuels our mission.
“In 1988, I chose abortion believing it was an easy way out.
It wasn’t.
I traded a life for my potential, dreams, and goals. At the time, I thought it was the right choice… but it wasn’t.”
That moment became a turning point — not just in his life, but in the lives of thousands of women and families he has dedicated himself to serving.
Dr. Wilder witnessed firsthand that society offers many avenues to abortion, but far fewer pathways that support a mother who wants to choose life.
He founded Wilder Family Empowerment Center to change that.
